Mosquito Lagoon is part of the Indian River Lagoon system and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. The vast majority of Mosquito Lagoon is inside the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and fishing guides must have a special use permit to operate charters in the refuge. For this listing the area includes Oak Hill on the north to the southern end near the Kennedy Space Center. It connects to the Indian River via the Haulover Canal. It also runs next to the Canaveral National Seashore on Cape Canaveral.
Guides listed here are checked annually to posses proper licenses, permits, and insurance for operating a charter boat in Mosquito Lagoon waters.
